International Women's Club of Lausanne (IWC Lausanne)

The IWC Lausanne is known for connecting English-speaking women of all nationalities. Founded in 1968 as the American Women's Club of Lausanne, the group is a dynamic organization of 500 members representing 35 different nationalities. We provide a welcoming atmosphere to English-speaking women who are either newly arrived or already living in the greater Lausanne area.

Run by volunteers, the IWC organizes a wide range of cultural, seasonal, educational, and philanthropic activities. Our goal is to provide a social network and to offer support, friendship, and information to newcomers and members alike.

We organize a large number of regular activities ranging from a kid's playgroup, to French conversation, to hiking, to international cooking. Outings to lunch in local restaurants, art exhibits, museums, and places of interest in the surrounding region take place frequently. Monthly coffees are held at the clubhouse and regionally. In addition, through our ongoing collaboration with local professionals, we offer a series of continuing education and personal development programs.

Our Living in Lausanne program, offered every September, is designed to help newcomers and expats make a smooth transition to life in Switzerland, Attendees learn valuable information about their new home and have opportunities to network with others.
